- The internet is still down because it was struck by lightening, so I'm currently writing this at an internet cafe. It could be fixed anytime between tomorrow and 3 months. It is likely to be longer because it has been raining and people tend to stay in when it rains making it less likely that the internet fixers will come sometime soon.
- There are these really weird spit bugs that live in a tree in the community. They form these giant frothing spitballs that drip from the tree making it feel like it is drizzling rain. The ground underneath the tree is wet from the spit. Pretty disgusting.
- You have to time your laundry correctly or it ends up rewashed by the rain and potentially soaking wet for days. I did my laundry hoping it would dry in the afternoon, but it started raining and rained off and on for the next several days so that they never dried. Luckily, a friend let me use her dryer and I now have clean clothes again.
- You quickly realize that the portion sizes in America are huge and that bottomless drinks may not be a good thing. I'm losing weight without trying, yay!!!

This is Africa! I hear your pain and humor babe. You've got to just laugh at it, aye?! (There's my Canadian roommate coming out in me.) I'm going to see you in five weeks! Can't wait. I went shopping for Christmas presents yesterday, thinking of Christmas with friends in SA. Can't wait! (I got Abigail the cutest thing ever!) Thinking of your wet clothes and spitting bugs, makes me think that the infestation of millipedes in the house isn't that bad.
TIO (This is Oregon) Leaves falling everywhere, some such beautiful shades of red and maroon, orange and yellow, and some just a pile of work! Kruse Farm's bins are full of apples, squash, and potatoes. Jack-o-lanterns taken to school for our "Just Rot" reading unit were a tremendous rotting success and students learned something about the value of mold and decay. It's time to plan the Thanksgiving feast but Macy's bathroom was playing "I'll Be Home For Christmas" two weeks ago!. We will miss you at the feast. Love and prayers.

Hey Molly,
I don't even want to tell you how beautiful the weather has been in Fort Bragg lately. But once winter hits, we will be feeling your "rain pain".
The old saying when "life hand you lemons, make lemonade", doesn't really work with spit. I can't think of anything you can make from spit! I guess just keep your sense of humor. And enjoy the fact that you didn't have to pay for any weight loss program. BONUS!
We continue to love, admire and miss you.
Kathy
I'm trying to picture the spitting bugs...ahhgg! I like your moms comments about TIO. =)
Sure miss you being here. I just drove through PDX this weekend and took Joe to Grand Central Bakery, the one we go to. Got by bread pudding fix but it's not the same without you. Love ya Mole!
